I started drawing on my laptop back in 1999! I had taken a desktop publisher course because it had interested me, but I never applied it to my working life. After work I would come home and just let my imagination have its way and it was fun, and amazing! I also write and some of the illustrations are two-dimensional representations of characters and situations.
I’m lucky in that I grew up meeting and knowing different types of people - different races, ethnicities, all that good stuff. Just these cool beings, and sometimes not so cool, but still part of the formation of what I am, a 50-something creative Black woman. All these different energies emerge and make things fantastic.
